A Message from Governor Joe Manchin, III

I am pleased to share that West Virginia was one of three states selected to partner with the Pew Center on the States in a year-long project to strengthen state operations and save tax dollars. As part of this project, we are under way to establish a new statewide planning and budgeting system to ensure the best return on our state investments. Together, we have worked hard to make the progress we need to meet the vision for our state, but we have more work to do for the citizens of West Virginia. I have developed a vision for 2012, “West Virginia Responsible Government,” which provides objectives to continuing to improve our state.
